Hail to the (New) Chief!

Well, it is official: Harrison Police Captain Anthony Marraccini is now Harrison Police Chief Anthony Marraccini. In a vote of 3-2 this evening by the Town Board Anthony Marraccini was appointed the successor to Chief David Hall who retired on December 31, 2009 after 30 plus years of service to the community. Chief Marraccini brings an extensive and impressive resume of police work having served the Town of Harrison for over 20 years. I can say having worked for the new Chief for four years that he was an excellent choice and I have no doubt our community will not only be safe but our police department will flourish under his leadership. I was proud to not only be present to record the vote, but I was even further honored to administer the oath of office making him officially our new top cop. Congratulations Chief, I wish you and your men and women in uniform the safest and best wishes.
